This song was inspired by my travels in Nepal from 2017 to 2019.

In your shack by the river, you lit a small fire
fixing tea for company, we sat and passed the time
the embers glowed like stardust, reflected in your eyes
you told your stories, I was mesmerized

you’re got to look into the darkness
if you want to see the light

through an alley down some stairs, curtain for a door
smell of curry fills the air, you hear laughter and a song
I admit I was afraid to walk down that stair
now I’ve got new friends if I ever come back here

standing on top of a mountain
looking down on the city below
there is no moon tonight
the only light that city’s glow
twinkling jewels reflected off the lake
some shimmering nebula in space
